it is especially saddening when you see many rallying under this banner of racism.. even more so when some of them are your friends.. oh well.. life goes on.. at least this deepavali you'll be able to tell which of your Muslim friends are on which side of this issue. lol

the malaysian malays are abit on the psycho side, bit more fanatical than the ones in singapore, which is why they don't like us much.=P

but babe, singapore is not perfect either.at least it attempts to better in terms of equal opportunities, and perhaps its getting there.=)

anyway, the reasons ur talking about are the reasons why my parents moved to singapore after they got married. they're both ex-malaysians.=)

it is a bit unfair to say that malays in malaysia do not tolerate other people's belief and such.i would like to make it clear that those who are the muslim fundamentalists (ie the ones who practice the true islamic teachings) will always remember this ayat in the quran, which emphasises the importance of respecting each other's religion and beliefs:

'Nor will I worship that which you have been worshipping, Neither will you worship That Which I worship. To you your religion and to me mine." al kaafiroon 4-6

so these people who give such comments do not truly realise or understand the teachings of islam.personally, if the content of the blog is true, then it saddens me a lot,as it makes u guys think that most malays are like that, which i cannot agree entirely. majority of malays (esp the younger ones) are tolerating other races properly. if u come to the UK, it is a norm seeing locals taunting and provoking chinese and indians who walk past them, but u'll never see that in malaysia.believe me, malaysia is a very unique country, and it is full of harmony.just because of some idiots saying some stupid stuff, doesnt mean that we all are idiots too.

happy deevali in advance.
